Kemal and Zeynep is a happily married couple. Kemal works as a private driver for a holding manager , Zeynep is a housewife expecting their baby to be born. They live in the big city – Istanbul where they have no connections and family. Zeynep lost her parents at an early age. Kemal works overtime and has not much time left to spend with Zeynep. After Zeynep gives birth , Kemal decides to take them to his mother to the village. This way her wife and his child would be taken care of while he is working in the big city and he can come visit them during weekends. Zeynep gives birth to a healthy baby boy and they all travel to the village.

After the weekend, when Kemal needs to leave for work, his mother Fatma warns him. In her belief, a woman who just gave birth should not be left alone. Alkarasi – RedWitch could come to visit and harm the mother and child. Kemal does not want to listen to his old woman. He asks his mother Fatma not to even speak about this ridiculous superstition to Zeynep.
