Faruk, who is in his 60s, is retired but still working as a taxi driver. Faruk’s life, who lost his wife about ten years ago, is ordinary and filled with repetitive days. There’s only one thing he’s dealing with; learning English as a “Beginner” Because of his curiosity in English, he is sometimes ridiculed and sometimes because of his eagerness to learn a new language at an older age he’s supported.

However he has been deaf to all the influences from outside. The cultural dimension of a new language and learning a new skill will influence the lives of the people he comes across and his life will start to change. We find out why he actually needed to learn English so badly. English is the only way for him to be united with his grandchildren whom lost their parents in a car accident in England.
